The scheme is co-ordinated by Sarah Derbyshire with funding from Arts Council England. Musicians wishing to be included in the scheme should submit their details by mid-July each year, for consideration by the Musicians in Residence panel. Those selected will be featured on the web site for the following financial year.

There are two deadlines by which Promoters should apply for subsidy towards fees: The first Monday in January and the Monday of the last full working week in May.
